Hafsatu Sani is a Nigerian fashion entrepreneur, creative director and the visionary behind TheCicaeda Nigeria and TheCicaeda RTW, a fashion house known for its distinctive interpretation of contemporary modest fashion, rooted in African heritage and craftsmanship.

With a deep appreciation for culture, storytelling and individuality, Hafsatu has built TheCicaeda into a creative expression of the modern African woman — blending traditional influences, particularly from Northern Nigeria, with contemporary silhouettes and refined craftsmanship. Through both bespoke and ready-to-wear collections, her work celebrates women who want to honour where they come from while confidently embracing where they are going.

For Hafsatu, fashion has always been about more than clothing. It is a language, a means of storytelling and a platform for creating impact.

Hafsatu is also an advocate for fertility awareness and reproductive health conversations, particularly within communities where infertility and assisted reproductive treatments can still carry significant stigma and misinformation. Her willingness to share aspects of her personal fertility journey has allowed her to create awareness, encourage people to seek appropriate medical support, and challenge misconceptions surrounding infertility and IVF.

Her latest initiative, WEAR HOPE, brings these two worlds — fashion and advocacy — together. Through the campaign, TheCicaeda RTW is using fashion as a vehicle for social impact, with a portion of proceeds dedicated to fertility support funds.
